ION “ISO 14001 is part of a set of international standards on Environmental Management Systems which are applicable to all types of Organisations.

ISO 14001, the world's most used standard on Environmental Management Systems, is based on the principles of a management system divided into planning, execution, checking and improvement phases. The implementation of the ISO 14001 standard defines the most important requirements to identify, control and monitor different environmental criteria of any Organisation applying an environmental policy.

THE NEW ISO 14001:2015

On 15th September 2015, the new version of the ISO 14001 standard was published.

The revision of this standard is part of wider changes involving all ISO standards on Management Systems, whose main aim is the creation of a common "High-Level Structure" for all regulations.

The new edition of the ISO 14001 standard, which was published in 1996 and was almost unchanged, includes major changes in this standard, to adapt to current environmental challenges.”
