What is Seazen
Seazen is a gated residential community on Egypt's North Coast, the stretch of Mediterranean coastline between Alexandria and El Alamein where the country's high-end residential development is concentrated. The project sits on the International Coastal Road, about 20 minutes from El Alamein Airport.
The masterplan is built on cascading levels that step down towards the sea: units are arranged on successive terraces so that most homes enjoy Mediterranean views. Around 85% of the site is green space, with landscaped valleys connecting infinity pools, lagoons and a wave pool. Three clubhouses, spas and padel courts complete the development.
The architecture is minimal: pearl-white square volumes, clean façades with projecting glazed elements, generous terraces and contrasting natural materials. The interiors follow the same approach, with spaces opening onto the outdoors and continuity between living areas and terraces.
Bertolotto doors at Seazen
In bright, light-toned architecture like Seazen's, the interior door is one of the elements that brings the warmth of wood into the home. For this project Bertolotto produced custom doors with a wood-effect finish, developed to meet the project specifications.
The wood-effect finish reproduces the look of natural timber while keeping a consistent colour across every door in the supply and a surface that is easy to maintain over time: qualities that matter in a residential development of this scale, with many units and different home types.
